Keep the original notice

Save the ticket or agency notice as received. Record the plate, location, issue date, time, amount and ticket number. The registered owner receiving a notice does not, by itself, prove which guest caused the charge.

Match the trip carefully

Compare the ticket date and time with the trip's start and end. If the notice gives only a date, a ticket on pickup or return day needs extra review. Use trip photos, messages and vehicle movement records when available. Leave a case unresolved if the evidence is thin.

Check eligibility before invoicing

Turo's ticket guidance distinguishes eligible guest charges from vehicle-related violations, and rules vary by country. Review its current Help Center guidance for your market and the specific notice before creating an invoice. A parking ticket is different from a pickup or drop-off parking fee.

Use the platform's invoice flow

Turo says incidental charges should be handled through a reimbursement invoice in the platform rather than an outside payment request. Attach the notice and any supporting trip evidence. Track the case so a second notice does not become a duplicate request.
